I do love makeup ~ that is my first love over skincare, but as I have gotten older, skincare became my obsession. That said, I still wear makeup daily, or at least. a base product, blush and mascara.  Olive Young, a Korean brick and mortar store, has an global online presence, so now we can take advantage of the same sales and products as Koreans do!  Olive Young sent me these items in exchange for reviews, and all of these items were posted on my Instagram account, @colebiancardi, initially.  I like to do a roundup on my blog as it is easier for readers to search and find my reviews, unlike IG. Skin Type/Concerns: oily, blemish prone, dehydrated, aging concerns, pores, fine lines/wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation

I received some of these products complementary to review and was not paid.  All reviews are my own honest opinion and  I never have been asked to write copy for a brand.  This blog post might contain promo codes, affiliate and referral links, which using my links will help generate a small commission that helps support my blog at no extra cost to you.

Amuse Vegan Peach Cream SPF 30 PA++ in 01 Rosy is a peachy-pink tone up shade ~ it is very sheer on & provides a bit of glowiness without any glitter bombs. This has an 80% water essence formula, made with 10,000 ppm of soothing, hydrating panthenol,  10 different types of hyaluronic acid (10,000ppm) of different molecular weights, so it hydrates both outer and inner layers of the skin, along with 50,000ppm of fermented peach extracts (peach biome), which keeps your skin’s microbiome healthy⁣

This is a 3-in-1 product, not only as a hydrating skin care with SPF product, but also has provides your skin with radiance ~ I don’t see any peachy shade on my skin, but more of the reflective brightness. I actually use this as a facial primer first as it hydrates so well, yet provides a smooth finish. I have used it by itself without a BB or foundation over it as well and as a way to brighten up my dark circles under my eyes. The coverage, as I stated, is very sheer. Perfect for those no-makeup days or those who don’t wear foundation, but want a little glow up. ⁣

Amuse Meta Fixing Vegan Cushion SPF45 PA++ is 1.5 Natural is a neutral base, which works well for me. My skin tone is neutral, has some warmer golden tones, pink ruddy areas and of course, sun damaged hyper-pigmentation and pimple-induced PIH. My skin is a rainbow of colors! This is a matte BB cushion, great for oily and combo skin, that provides long lasting coverage. It contains vegan collagen for deep moisturization, yet has a light texture that gives my skin a soft and smooth finish. This is a more full coverage cushion ~ it not only covered up my PIH from a fresh pimple, but my beauty mark above my lip! It toned down my ruddiness while evening out my skin tone⁣.

Despite the full coverage, this is very light on the skin. As far as long lasting, it did last longer than most cushions ~ I would say even with wearing a facial mask, this lasted about five  hours before I had to retouch. AND IT DOESN’T OXIDIZE!! The transparent cushion case is just awesome⁣ and a major showstopper

If you prefer a traditional foundation, I purchased the Hince Second Skin Foundation in 22 Beige  ~ my friend Lisa at @beautybemused enabled me on this product and brand! I have tried several items from them and their Second Skin Foundation is the BOMB. I have oily, dehydrated skin and I like a light coverage that can be built up without caking or oxidizing.

And this is THE product that covers all of my wishes ~ very liquid, lightweight, doesn’t cling to dry bits, with a flawless finish that has light coverage. I can build it up on areas that need more coverage, such as zits, and this doesn’t feel heavy at all on my skin. It has a satin finish, not matte, and it isn’t drying. In the summer, I do have to set the more oily parts of my face with some powder, but all in all, this is a lovely foundation.

I chose 22 Beige and it is a great match for my skin tone ~ I use MAC NW20 and in most Beauty cushions, I vary between 21 and 23. I will be repurchasing this again! This has been my foundation of choice in many of my selfies recently, if you are interested on what it looks like on.

This comes in 5 shades: 17 Porcelain, 21 Ivory, 22 Beige, 23 Sand, 24 Buff

Ingredients:  Water, Methyltrimethicone, Titanium Dioxide, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, Alcohol Denat., Lauryl PEG-8 Dimethicone, Silica, Cyclopentasiloxane, PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Sodium Chloride, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Mica, Iron Oxide Yellow, Alumina, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Aluminum Hydroxide, Panthenol, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Stearic Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Acrylates/Dimethicone Copolymer, Fragrance, Iron Oxide Red, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Myristoyl Glutamate, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Triethyl Citrate, Polysilicone-11, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Iron Oxide Black, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Isopropyl Myristate, Isostearic Acid, Lecithin, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene⁣

Laneige Neo Powder  is a micro powder with sebum control, matte finish and provides a soft, blurring effect on pores. It is translucent on the skin, so I use it wherever and whenever my skin gets oily. It doesn’t cake or clog pores. A must have for the summer time. This is also vegan as well.

Ingredients: Silica, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer Methicone, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Tocopherol⁣

I’m MEME Pep! Balm in 05 Brink is a beautiful brick shade. This is a multi-use lip and cheek product ~ it is not a balm texture, but more like a squeezable lipstick that spreads out nicely. It looks glossy, but that is if you don’t blend it out, which I do ~ it has a matte finish, but it is not drying at all.

I find that this works best on the lips with staying power ~ for the cheeks, I find that I have to layer it several times to really have the color be noticeable ~ if you just want a flush, you don’t need to layer. I have also used this as eyeshadow – use an eye primer first – and this is really is multi-purpose face color product! This is in a great tube that is easy to carry and for quick touch ups.

Comes in 5 shades: 01 Recharger – Cool red, 02 Oh-Oh – Orange coral, 03 Pause -Neutral rose pink, 04 Corner – Warm pink coral, 05 Brink – Deep brick brown⁣

Can’t forget the eyes!!  I had no idea of how different eyelash curlers are ~ some pinch, some are too small, some too long ~ and I discovered via a reddit post that they come in different curvatures! Now, this isn’t something that is normally published and you have to figure it out on your own. The reddit post (see link below) tells you how to do this and my biggest takeaway is that “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘶𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘴; 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘶𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘦.” ⁣

Many Western curlers have smaller radiuses with more deep curve to them whereas the Asian eyelash curlers have a larger radius, as the eye curve is a gentle curve. Again, these are just a general tip as there are Asian eyes that a deeper curve and there are Westerners that have a more shallow curve. Curvatures can vary from 15.81mm all the way up to 31.40mm, so there is a lot of trial and error on picking a curler if you don’t know your own curvature⁣

Laneige Eyelash Curler is a respectable 20 mm radius, so it falls right in the middle there ~ making this accessible for many eye shapes, and it is to help those with shorter, straighter or droopy lashes and create that C-lash. My lashes are not droopy, but they kinda stick out straight without much of a curve if I don’t use an eyelash curler. My lashes are medium in length, but they are so light that without mascara, you wouldn’t really know they were there unless you caught my side profile. ⁣
I have three different looks with several photos each. One set is without any mascara or curling. The 2nd set is using the eye lash curler and mascara and the 3rd set is just using mascara. I think that this eyelash curler did help achieve a C-curve when compared to my mascara only photos. What do you think? ⁣

Laneige eyelash curler has a curve of 3.2cm, height of 0.8cm, and curvature of 20R.

And to top it all off, a facial mask ~  Masks mandates made be over right now in the states, but you better believe I will still be wearing mine for a while. Olive Young carries a variety of masks and I chose a box of 20 from Masklab in Ombre Pink. They are individually wrapped and have 98% filtration efficiency, fluid resistance of 120mmHg and breathability over 6.00mmH2O/cm2 and are FDA and CE certified. I love that they are larger masks to fit my huge face as well as the pleating, so I can actually breath better. This also has the metal strips nose bridge so I can mold the mask around my nose area to fit better. ⁣

These also come in a variety of shades and designs, such as green/aqua marble, florals, geometric.  Olive Young also carries other mask brands, in different colors and fabrics. Will you still be wearing a mask? I find it will be something that I will be doing for a while still, so I look for fun and comfortable masks to wear! ⁣
