Jen Bailey wants all women to know they are worthy to look and feel their best, and all while saving some money at the same time.
Her new Worthy shop in Oneida is a premium and designer resale boutique offering women’s clothing, jewelry and accessories from the likes of Gucci, Prada, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton and Stella McCartney. Her opening day was Feb. 5, and Bailey said the response from customers has been very encouraging.
“I had an excellent first week, and everyone was just so very welcoming,” she reported. “People were very positive, letting me know they really want this in Oneida.”
Nicole Bandlow of Oneida made her first trip to the shop Feb. 15. She admitted she was “intrigued” by the thought of having such a classy place to shop nearby.
“I really love high-end things, so I am excited to have a place like this in Oneida,” Bandlow said. “And then I met Jen, and she is great, too. I am definitely coming back. I am so glad she is here.”
Spring fashions and their vivid spring colors are now brightening up the shop. Especially pleasing on the eye is the color coordination of the displays, with reds next to other reds, and blues paired with the rest of the blues. The organization by color is not only convenient for shoppers but an attractive fashion statement in itself.

Recent promotions included a Chanel-inspired black quilted bag trio featuring a shoulder bag for $59, large tote for $89 and weekender for $129. Shoppers also are invited to “meet Michael” – a new, full size jet set tote by designer Michael Kors, that is – who “likes long walks on beaches and sunsets at the lake. He is gorgeous and the cherry to any outfit,” promises the promo.
Bailey moved to the area last June to be closer to Oneida Lake and recalled she was lamenting that there was no place local to shop for designer fashions.
She decided she wanted to create a place that offered both brand-new and excellent pre-loved items, but with something for everybody. Worthy is a shop that is accessible and affordable, she promised, but most of all a place where all women can feel welcome.
“This is less about the clothing and more about providing an environment where women feel good about themselves,” she explained. “I want this to be all about the experience and to make it a real shopping destination.”
In the future, she hopes to host ladies night events with fashion shows and maybe even special guest appearances by fashion designers themselves.

Bailey said in her first week of operation she had a woman come in to simply hold a designer bag, as she never had before that, and another customer purchase her first designer item and leave with happy tears in her eyes.
She wants them and all women to know they deserve those items.
“We’re all worthy,” Bailey promised. “We can all be that woman with the designer bag on her shoulder. Women deserve to feel good about themselves and we shouldn’t have to pay a high price to do it.”
Worthy is located at 767 Lenox Ave., Suite 2, in Oneida and open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; 9 a.m. to noon Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 315-367-5003 or find the shop on Facebook.
