Alba Boutique | 716 Washington Street

Alba has been serving Hoboken’s fashion needs for almost 10 years. Its mission is to make shoppers feel the absolute most beautiful and confident at any age and stage. Owner Jeanna Palumbo is excited to give a personal experience for life’s most happy and vulnerable times. Guests can also set up an appointment with a stylist and receive a customized and shoppable experience.

a X d is Alba’s sister boutique on Washington Street. Its motto “it’s all under $100,” giving shoppers a  is a stylish-but-thrifty option. A little black dress can be found for any special occasion without breaking the bank. The Hoboken store is the flagship, but there are also stores in Ridgefield and Morristown. The boutique’s selection is also available online.

Brooke and Bel | 60 4th Street 

 

Brooke and Bel opened at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and has flourished in the best way in the Hoboken community. Located downtown right off Washington Street, the boutique is women-owned and operated. Owners Brooke Stowers and Sam Belfer Braham have curated the selection in the boutique to help all shoppers leave feeling their best.  feel that shopping is about connection and offering a personal connection.

Dor L’ Dor | 413 Washington Street

Located right on Washington Street, Dor L’ Dor has shirts, dresses, skirts, and accessories. This family-owned local chain offers complimentary personal styling for shoppers, meaning there’s always someone to help out. The dress selection gets right to the point by being organized into Casual and Night Out sections. Dor L’Dor also sells shoes and accessories, so the whole look can be put together in one visit. This shop prides itself on being fashion-forward, so the offerings are always on the cutting edge of fashion.

Peper and Palor | 938 Washington Street

Starting out as Peper Apparel, the boutique opened in 1995 and was the first of its kind in Hoboken, offering both international and local quality labels. Shoppers looking for designer pieces, this boutique is for you. Palor shoes opened in 2005 and now right on Washington Street lies Peper Apparel and Palor Shoes. The boutique offers pieces that are not only beautiful and original but wearable and timeless. Private shopping is available by appointment on Wednesdays.

Francesca’s | 318 Washington Street

Women instantly fell in love with Francesca’s boutique, which was first opened in 1999 in Houston, Texas. Francesca’s always offers great promotions. So – shoppers looking for a quality yet affordable dress, this store is a great option. Any little black dress that you may need can be found in this store located on Washington Street, and the accessories will make the look complete. We like that the store has extended sizing options up to 3X, and the online shoppers can have their orders shipped to the store for easy and free pickup.

Mint Market | 303 1st Washington Street, Hoboken + 339 Grove Street, Jersey City

Owner Valarie Duardo opened Mint Market as a small storefront in Hoboken and has expanded to Jersey City. Mint is a contemporary clothing shop dedicated to curating unique styles: in addition to current styles, each store has a great selection of vintage items. At either location, a little black dress can be found along with accessories to make the perfect outfit. We love how no two visits are ever the same: Valarie always has new styles to share.

Jersey City 

Another Man’s Treasure Vintage Store | 195 Montgomery Street

This vintage shop first opened in 2006 and quickly became a favorite destination for both vintage shoppers and film and television producers, for its extensive catalog of clothing and accessories from over the years. Owners Meika and Warren Franz have years of experience in thrifting and pride their store on carrying quality and affordable pieces. The selection is always changing and the racks are always full. For shoppers who want something that truly no one else will have, this is the place.

Newport Mall | 30 Mall Drive W

The Newport Mall is a great resource to look for a little black dress for any occasion under the sun or stars. The Mall offers sizes, styles, and brands at every price point, so for shoppers who are looking for something specific or trying to build a wardrobe, it’s a great starting point. Stores at the Mall offer petite, plus, and tall sizes, and of course, there are plenty of places to get shoes and accessories to complete the look. 

Pacific Flea | 149 Pacific Avenue

Every second Saturday from April to October Pacific Flea is open, offering vintage and antique pieces. There are a plethora of vendors at the market for customers to sort through and find the perfect dress for any occasion while enjoying different music and art. It’s open 11AM – 5PM with rain dates TBA on social media. 

Plus Thrift | Online @plusthriftjc

Plus Thrift JC is an online Instagram boutique with live sales, with most items ranging from $15-25. Founders Megan Ixim and Julie Khiry felt that there was not a space for plus-sized women to shop in Jersey City and decided to start selling via Instagram. Their goal is to spread positivity, diversity, and inclusion.

Rainbow Shops | 2865 John F. Kennedy Boulevard

With over 1,000 stores, Rainbow is a fashion retailer with affordable clothing, shoes, and accessories for Women Juniors, Plus Size, and Kids. Although not a boutique, Rainbow is a great resource to have and pop in to see if any LBD sparks your eyes. The shop offers sizes XS-3X and 26-41 women’s bottoms. This Rainbow location is in Jersey City Heights and all other shopping can be done online.

SECÜR is proud to offer clothing for every woman. serve Jersey City’s fashion needs. The boutique consists of apparel, accessories, and handbags, with a heavy focus on the latest fashion trends. The owner, Keely Bembry was a celebrity stylist before opening her own boutique. Her goal is to make every woman feel stylish and special.
